SFS 2026 is the first of our Weightlifting events hosted in Pensacola, Florida. Saturday, January 31, 2026 and Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Join us for 2 days of Olympic Weightlifting at Mako Athletics! Hosted by Mattie Rogers, we will be raising funds all weekend long for our title beneficiary, Saving With Soul, a local animal rescue that will be hosting LIVE ADOPTIONS on site throughout the weekend. We will have vendors, food trucks, LIVE adoption events and, of course, WEIGHTLIFTING! In addition to our regular competition, we will also have an invite only ALL-STAR session for both Men's and Women's divisions prime time Saturday evening. Come watch the best of the best throwdown for a chance to win our lb for lb cash prizes starting at $1,000 and growing all weekend from contributions from the fans.
We did it!
We surpassed our goal of $1 per kg lifted at our very first event! We were able to donate $10,379.64 to saving with soul and got 9 dogs adopted in person between the two days. We are beyond excited and cannot wait until the next one! Stay tuned for the announcement of our next event.

SFS 2026 will also be within the qualification period for the USAW 2026 Virus Weightlifting Series 1 and will be a LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER.
When registering, you will select an animal that is currently in the care of Saving With Soul to lift for in your session. Please take a look at the photos and pick your favorite rescue to be strong for! Please see the Saving With Soul rescues in need.
CASH PRIZES will be awarded to the top 3 male and female athletes based on Q points. It is a rolling cash purse starting at $1,000 cash for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place and $250 for 3rd place. Contributions to the prize purse will be accepted throughout the event both in person and virtually. There is no cap on how high the prize purse can go. Additional prizes to be announced.
All standard USAW weight classes will be contested. YOU MUST BE A USAW MEMBER WITH A USAW NUMBER TO REGISTER! This is a USAW sanctioned event.
